Ok, its taken a while, but here we have a brand new multi-purpose site..
For five years I “played” at being a web designer, and all was well until I realised it was time to integrate the shop and tickets into one site, offering a place for articles, tickets, equipment, and information all in one neat place.
Quietly approaching a good friend, (Tim) from wp trainer.co.uk who builds/ trains businesses on word press. He also happens to be the only master firewalk fire tender in the UK (a useful collection of skills) I broached tentatively the possibilities of handed over the gauntlet of what I wanted to create. The good news is that Tim picked up that gauntlet and despite my constant interruptions of “it would be good if it did” and “can we just add”, he has built us a framework that is reliable, easy to navigate, and is Shamanic practitioner proof (although time will tell on this bit).

I know this sounds somewhat daft, but I swear it’s true.. The deeper I have got into Shamanic practice, the more connected I become and the more I follow the path set out for me; the more technology hates me.. my children will say this is because I’m now officially old, well at least in their eyes anyway. Yet it just feels more than modern technology getting the better of me. In my previous corporate existence, I wrote a CRM (customer relationship manager) from scratch. Not the coding I admit but the workflows, processes, and layouts. Now though I can’t seem to get a hashtag to work without 4 hours and a small meltdown. C’ est la vie, it seems like a fair swap for the connection, guidance, and happiness I have in my life now.

This tidbit of information into a Shamanic practitioner’s woe is only really relevant here to try and explain to you what an undertaking Tim has taken on. He hasn’t just built a website and locked me out, or even one that doesn’t need regular input, he has built us a system where the fundamentals are safe, even in a confused practitioner’s hands, where events and products integrate seamlessly, where pictures can be passed to guests freely, and where all the information on the support I can provide is based. An amazing feat in itself, yet the real wonder is that the layout, adding of products, blogs, events, updates, pictures, the wording, and pretty much everything is back in my slightly shaky hands.
